Senior Graduation

Dates, Times & Guidelines 
                                  All fees must be paid prior to graduation.

Monday May 19         Caps and gowns will be distributed during 7th period.

 *Tuesday May 20               Final Exams

*Wednesday May 21       Final Exams

 *Thursday May 22           Final Exams

 *These days will be full 7 period days.  Times and days of exams will be at the teachers’ discretion.

Friday May 23                   Make-up exams and class work if needed to graduate.

Tuesday May 27                 Senior Career Day:  College visits, Technical Schools, Armed Services

Wednesday May 28         Senior Breakfast in LHS Cafeteria at 8:15 am.

 Senior Awards Assembly in LHS Auditorium immediately following breakfast.  Parents invited.

Thursday May 29
     8:30 am        Seniors should report to the LHS cafeteria.
     8:45 am        Busses depart promptly from LHS to Stambaugh Auditorium.
     9:00 am        Commencement practice at Stambaugh Auditorium.

     All seniors must attend practice in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.

6:00 pm        Students arrive at Stambaugh Auditorium.
                                            (Please see guidelines below for proper attire.)

          7:00 pm        Commencement ceremony begins. 



Proper attire is to be worn by all graduates during any of the graduation exercises or activities. 
To be dressed properly, please note the following:

  • Caps are always worn flat on top of the head with the point of the cap centered in the middle of the forehead.  Caps are never worn at the back of the head. 
  • Tassels are worn on the right side of the cap until such time as commencement honors are bestowed upon the graduates. 
  • Gown should be pressed before being worn to the graduation exercise.

Proper attire does not include:
Blue jeans       
Flip Flops
Sandals (for boys)
Tennis shoes
No piercings
No sunglasses

No cell phones
No props
No valuables (Please give all valuables to parent/guardian.)
No lights or marks on caps or gowns
